Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first person to reach a flawless 10 during an Olympic celebration. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to become the Romanian gymnastics coach. The first time she competed was at The National Junior Championships which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she was crowned champion. Her first ever international event in 1972 she won the event having won three golds. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first female ever to perform a backwards double salto when dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens when she started performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment when she was in her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. Ice Capades was a show that featured skating on ice by actors.
