Her father, Abraham Quintanilla, was also a musician. However, the music he played did not get as much recognition as his daughter. The father of Selena's Abraham Quintanilla was also a musician. However, he did not have as much recognition than his daughter. Selena started performing in her father's restaurants with her brothers after her family members discovered her talent.
